First, you'll want to start with filling out a request for a wedding quote! You can find this button near the top of this page. Please provide reference photos, invitation images, color palates, or anything that you think would help us capture the aesthetic of your wedding!

We will respond via email with an initial price quote and next steps for ordering a tasting box and scheduling a consultation.

After the tasting box is delivered, we will have an in-person consultation where we will discuss final design details and go over any questions.

At your request, I will prepare a contract and send an invoice. A 50% deposit is due on orders over $300 at the time of ordering. This locks in your date.

You will have 7 days to make your deposit. Should you fail to pay on time, you will need to request a new invoice and contract from Cake Scraps. A 20% penalty will be applied.

Remaining payment is due 3 weeks before delivery/pick up. Payment and deposits are nonrefundable and nontransferable. 

We will contact you 4 weeks before your wedding to confirm details and remind you of any remaining payments.

Tasting boxes and consultations are available for $80! Boxes include four 4" cakes, each with two layers of cake and a filling/frosting. There is enough for 4-6 people to sample.

The price of the sample box and consultation will be applied to your cake total, if you choose to order!

The consultation portion of the fee includes digital cake sketches, an in-person meeting, and any and all design work that is done before a contract is signed. These are a combined fee and cannot be split.

Every cake is different! An estimate guide is available, but these are starting prices. In order to give you an exact price, we need to know the number of servings, preferred design, delivery location and time, etc.

We are based in Bloomington, Indiana. However, we serve all surrounding areas, including Columbus and Indianapolis. Delivery is calculated at an hourly rate and is included in the price quote.

Delivery also includes set up! We ensure the cake is ready for presentation and serving at your venue.

Pickup is available, but we highly recommend against it. Our cakes come in sturdy packaging, but larger cakes can be risky. Allowing us to deliver ensures the cake will arrive in best possible condition.

If you choose pickup, we will provide specific care instructions to help you transport the cake home - this includes how to carry the box, where to place it in your car, and how cool to keep your car.

Yes, you will need to provide your own cake stand. Cake Scraps does not provide cake stands, but we will coordinate with you on whether the one you have is the correct size and strength. Please reach out before ordering and we can help look at the stand for structure!

For weddings, we ask that you order flowers for the cake through your florist. Cake Scraps is not a florist, and we do not want to bring the wrong flower, shade, etc. For the sake of aesthetics, it's best if all the flowers come from the same place.

We will install/place the flowers on the cake in a food safe manner at the venue.

If your cake is using fresh flowers, we will discuss this in more detail during the consultation process.

Yes, we can offer faux/dummy cake layers!

Couples often want the height and presence of a large cake, but don't have the need for so much cake. Be sure to mention your interest in this while filling out the price quote form!

In the event you want a larger dummy cake but still wish to serve cake, layer cakes are available for $3.50/serving. These could be sliced behind the scenes and presented on plates near the dummy cake!
